Hello brother, I was wondering if insulin can be used in the off season. If so, what would you recommend as far as dosage and diet for a 250 lb. guy at 14% bf? Thanks for your advice!

For most people, off season is the only time I would suggest insulin. But to be honest, for most people, I dont suggest it, at all. It's very easy to get overly fat. It works good for a guy that is a true ecto, who can only be super lean and doesnt gain much muscle, even on 7000 cals. For a guy like youself, already carrying 35 lbs of fat, it could be a disaster. Keep this in mind and if you run it, I would highly suggest some gh to help keep more fat off.

I would start out with 4IU of humilin r and see how you resond. I'm written before on the whole carb plan for using insulin. You need to have perfect timing of your carbs and watch yourself closely for signs of going hypo, or you could end up in big trouble, Diabetic coma or death being the worst possible outcomes for misuse. I would take this dose right after your first meal of the day. As you become comfortable with using slin and timing your food, you can go up 1iu and adjust your carbs for the additional insulin. I would not go higher than 8 IU. For a first time user, this is a good program. I'd go on for about a month and then take a month off. Down the road, if you work you way up to 2 doses a day, I would go no higher than 8iu, after your first meal and 6iu 6 hours later.
