It sounds like you are certainly predisposed to acne with your experience as a teen. The only permanent sollution is accutane. It's a super harsh drug and you will probably experience some discomfort while on it, but if you can complete a cycle, there is a good chance that you will stop acne from coming back in the future. It actually changes your body's oil production. If you find an antibiotic that works, it will only work while you are on it. Once you come off, the issue will return. There are a few things you can do to help, for now. Use dial antibacterial soap in the shower, change your pillow case and sheets a couple times a wk. Shower 2x day, using a fresh towl each time. Don't wear the same gym clothes 2 days in a row. Basically, keep teh bacteria off of your skin. If you really want to cure it though, accutane is the way to go. BTW, I would not suggest using it while on an oral steroid
