Well, I can't say that it is ideal, but we never exist in a vacuum, so things aren't always going to work out the way we want them to. Every time I'm about ready to compete, having gone through all the struggles of a contest prep, I refelct on the precess and part of me is always amazed that all of life's variables lined up well enough to let me do this one more time. At the end of it all, we can control a lot of factors, but there are many, that we can not control. Extreme weather is one of those things. It sounds like you'll be back at it soon enough. All you can do in the present, is focus on what you can do to be your best right now. Make sure you get your meals. If you have cardio at home, do light cardio every day. Work on your abs. Maybe get creative and find a way to do some dips, push ups and pull ups. You do 50 perfect pull ups, squeeze at the top, stretch at the bottom. Then tell me if your back isn't sore the next day. Do body weight squats, shoulder width apart. Flex your quads all the way down and all the way up, never locking out. Most people can improve their squat form, and this is the way to do it. Go ass to calves for each rep and perform them slow. Do sets of 20.
Use this time to improve your form and get more out of your training. If you were going to say that you wouldn't be able to get to the gym for another month, thats one thing, but it sounds like you will be back soon. Maybe you can learn something new about the way you want to lift in the gym. All we have is today, so make a plan and make it count.
