i would do whatever has worked best for you off of gear. i wouldn't change your training. everyone responds differently to different rep schemes. for me, i like to use higher volume and moderate to heavy weight. i do various rep ranges to attack the fiber from different points. i find that i can grow beest if i can take a db that i can do 12 reps of chest press to failure with, iand nstead of moving up in weight, learn to use that same weight for 20 reps. this high reps with heavy weights works good for me. i also will pick an exercise to go very heavy with for 6-10 reps to help build strength. after that, i like to totally fill the muscle with blood, going a little lighter on the next exerise, focusing on squeezing the muscle.
i train every body part once a wk accept for a lagging part which i add some joint friendly additional work in on aother day.
as for cardio in the off season, i would do some. its good for your heart plus, it'll keep you hungry. i would walk on a treadmill for 25 minutes 3x wk
i think you'll be happy with the choice you made. get that diet nailed and you shoud get some good gains bro
