About the clen and cramping, sorry to hear the taurine didn't work out for you. I know the pain you're talking about and yes, it can be awful! I'll use 1000mg taurine, up to a couple times a day if needed. I would also make sure that you have enough water and enough sodium in your body. I just wanted to pass this info on, in case you are consider running it again in the future.
As for your debate between var and tbol, I would choose var every time. I find that tbol is very toxic. Thats the experience I've had, looking at blood work, and the experience I've seen working with clients that want to use it. I don't know. Just one of my least favorites. Var would do the trick and give some awesome strength. I usually reserve it for a cut. Orals tend to effect my appetite, but when I'm dieting down, I'm always so hungry that it doesn't matter. Personally, I might opt for something like NPP for the first 8 wks. It'll kick in fast and not get you too water filled, You might gain a little fluid on NPP, but not so much that I couldn't compete on it, if I wanted to.
