I have heard horror stories about shooting calves. These stories have been crazy enough to keep me from ever wanting to try. They can be done, but most guys that I know, that have tried, have only done it once ;). It can be done and some guys even use SEO in them. Thankfull, lower leg development has never been an issue for me. Even if they aren't good, I'm not sure I would entertain that idea.
Also, keep in mind, the smaller muscles hold less oil. They have less room for the oil to dissipate, and are more likely to get inflamed and get infected. I do use delts, bicep and triceps, but these areas have caused me a lot more issue than the larger muscles, glutes, quads and lats.
