Depends on how much time you have. If you plan to do a bridge, you're still "on" and this may effect your recovery long term. Yea, I know about the idea spread through the net about using low dose dbol to bridge while not effecting natural production and though you may be able to recover a little better than running a shot of test, I think that dbol bridge scheme is just a way for guys to stay on while and justify it. So go in knowing what you're getting yourself into. I would assume that it's the same as not coming off.
If you have 20 wks, you could do a cycle that's split, 8-10 wks trying to add clean mass while getting lean and then 10-12 wks really dialing in. How long you "bulked" for would depend on your diet and how much clean food you can eat at high amounts, what your response is, how much fat you could lose while growing and how fast you can dial in. It would be tricker to do this but it can be done.
If you have more time, you could run a 10 wk cycle, then PCT and some time off. Then start dieting and run your contest cycle for the last 12-16 wks. If you did this, you could run deca on your mass gaining cycle but I would also throw in some dbol (not on a bridge but on the actual cycle) to start things out quickly and make as much progress as possible. If this is what you decide to do, get back to me later and let me know what you're setting up for a contest cycle and we can tweak that plan if needed. Whatever you do, don't let yourself get any fater than you are now. The key to competing is to be super lean and you'll go further out conditioning your competition
