AAS tend to hurt for several days. They can get painful and swollen. Tender to the touch. If you are new to gear, this is more likely going to be a stronger reaction as your body isnt used to having the hormone or oil, sitting in the muscle. I normal shot may begin hurting the next day and then take a few days to go back to notmal. If the shot is very red and widely swollen, like a large knot, if it is bright red or turning black, and you have a fever,  then you probably have an infection. In this case, you will also feel sick and may have a fever. If this is not the case, you sound to be ok but you could still go to the dr to see what they say
