Hey bro, good question. There is no age bracket that one should start using HCG, though age can be a factor in recovery and I would always suggest it to the older guys that are interested in regaining natural production post cycle. Really though, it isn't going to hurt for anyone of any age, to add HCG into the plan. The way I see it, we are already spending a bunch of money on gear, the food it takes to grow, the time in the gym, not to mention gym membership and everything else that goes along with "the lifestyle". Why not spend a few more dollars to better ensure that you do recover at an optimal rate and maintain as much possible...basically, you will have invested a lot of time and money, so why not put a litte more into recovery?
As far as cycles go, this shouldn't be one of the harder ones to recover from. Its when you add in 19 Nors, like Deca or tren, that a lot of guys have issues. Everyone is unique though. Some have a harder time recovering in general. Also, I find that the more cycles you do, the harder they can be to recover from, especially as time off periods get shorter, doses get higher and cycles are run for extended periods. Your best bet is to never reach that point and stay healthy to begin with. Making it a practice of using HCG may help with this, so as you said "be proactive".
I would dose your HCG at 250-500iu 2x wk through the cycle and stop 3 days short of PCT. If you have a little extra toward the end, I'd go up to a few doses of 1000iu. Just remember that your test levels will go up because of this, which in turn will create more estrogen, so stay on your AI while using HCG
