for a first run, i would just stick to once a day, just to keep things simple. as fot its effect, its not about the drug itself as much as it is about what the drug will do. it will better shuttle nutrients into the muscle. then when you train later, those nutrients will give you more benefit in the gym. just because the drug's effect has worn off doesn't mean the nutrients will go away.
after a couple wk, if you are comfortable, you could add an IU a wk for the next couple of wks. remember that 6 iu will require 20 more additional carbs than 4 iu did. if you're comfortable with 8, after you've cycled off for a few wks, if you want to try 2x day, you could go with 6iu in the morning and 4iu 8 hours later. be aware that its effect can last longer than 4 ours. i wouldn't take your second dose if you are going to go to bed in the next 6 or so hours. make sure you keep fast carbs on hand at all times while using insulin and dont take naps while on it.
