Steroids are very different from GH and any steroid cycle will be made better with GH. When you take your GH would depend on how much you are doing. In the last year, I've been splitting my dose up, regardless of how much I take. With 3 IU, I would take 1.5 in the AM and 1.5 preworkout. If you are taking more, I would do AM, preworkout and before bed. You can take it regardless of food but if fat loss is your main goal, I would take a dose thing in the AM on empty, before fasted cardio
