I have only met Kali a couple of times. Let me tell you, he is one of the friendliest guys I have met. He's super open about his ideas regarding training. Thats all I talked to him about. This was before he got very popular like he is now. So all I can say for sure, is what I have experienced with him. And thats that he is a nice guy. As for being natural or not, I did not know he was claiming natural until you metioned this. Then I talked to a couple of buddies that informed me this is the case. I would not have guessed it, but then again, Kai was natty for a long time from what I hear. Shawn Rhoden used very low gear for a long time from what we are told. There are freaks out there. They are few are far between in BB, but they do exist. Michael Lockett is an example of a true freak. He did well in the past, and I believe he claimed natural for a period. I believe he has since went to the dark side. There are not many guys like him with or without gear.

Personally, I have more respect for someone that doesn't try to cover up their use. We all know its a part of the sport but not saying anything is far different than going out of your way to deny it. I would have just assumed Kali used gear. It wasn't even a question in my mind, but I have never seen him use it, so I know as well as you. I'm sure you're questioning the honesty of his statement or you wouldn't have asked haha.
