How Much Time to Take off From the Gear?
    on: 2015-08-11 19:01:55
Question, I have been blasting and cruising for a couple of years now. The problem I am having is that the gear is not working like it use too. I usually cruise on 150 mg test week for about 10 weeks and then blast for 10 weeks on different types of gear. Right now I am blasting on 500mg test cyp, 300mg deca wk and 200mg tren e week. Sure I gain a pound or two, but nothing to brag about. I still keep about the same strength gains as when I use a cruise dosage. Basically, I am maintaining the expensive way when I blast. My diet is not perfect, but its not terrible. I eat a good number macros everyday. I look better than probably 90% people at my gym, but I feel like my gains are moving at the same level when I was in my late 20s or slower. Seems like the only time that I had dramatic gains is when I stopped all the gear for 10 weeks. I have worked really hard to get where I got and I know taking off for months is going to make me loss a lot of my gains. I read articles where people take off 4 to 6 weeks and should bounce back to making decent gains, but I guess it depends on the person. How much time should I take off from the gear, so I can get back to great size and strength gains. Why do pros look like they never have this problem I have? Thanks

Hey bro, there may be a few things going on here. Taking time off of all gear and cleaning out may help to make you more sensitive once again, and if you were to come off for a couple months, you would not lose all your gains. Once you go back on, you'll get right back to where you were in a very short period. So don't be afraid  But I don't think thats the issue. To me, it sounds like you have tapped out on your current program. Remember that what has worked before is not going to keep working forever. As you get older, your body will respond differently. As you get bigger, your body needs different stimulation and will need more food. You will only grow so big on x grams of protein carbs and fats. So if you are doing something similar to what worked before, you might need to be doing x plus more. Training might need to be changed. The best way to figure out what you can do to change your training is ask yourself, What an I currently not doing now? And then try doing it. So say you work in the 10-12 rep range, maybe see what happens if you change that. Some body parts, like legs, I work up to 40 rep sets. You'll tax the fibers in different ways. There has to be a way to raise the insensity. Raise the bar. And raise the bar with your diet bro. There comes a point that you have to do everything right in order to continue getting results.

Its not often that I tell people not to come off, but if you have been using an HRT cruise at the least, for years, there is no chance that you are going to even come close to recovering in 6-8 wks. I wouldn't even bother in your case. But if you do turn up your training diet and overall program, you can keep making progress
