    Is estrogen good?

Hi. I hope you can answer a question for me about AIs during a cycle. At first glance, a beginner like myself hears about estrogen levels going up during a cycle and automatically knows that isn't good due to the sides. So my initial thoughts tell me to just use a dose of an AI such as anastrozol that is without a doubt more than high enough to block any possible estrogen that comes about. But from what I've seen, you actually WANT some estrogen during a cycle, so its best to not try and completely shut out all estrogen production. Some have said it will "limit gains" if I have too low of estrogen.... why is this? What is a good AI dose for a beginner cycle? Any other valuable information over an AI as it relates to this situation would be much appreciated! PS- Im a trt guy so pct isn't really a thing for me I think...I don't know if that makes a difference for my questions though. Thanks!

    GREAT question.

Ok, so the only time I ever want to push estrogen down into the low single digits, is in the last few wks of a contest prep. At that point, we want you to be dry-dry and how you feel is secondary. During the rest of a cut cycle, we wanto to keep estrogen moderate, but under control. We don't want it too high when fat loss is the goal. On the other hand, when you are trying to gain weight, estrogen will help you to retain more fluid and estrogen re-sensitizes the androgen receptor.

If you push estrogen too high, you'll have side effects. If you push it too low, you'll sides from that as well. Low E can cause stiff and achey joints as well as low libdo. Also loer estrogen can cause issues with cholesterol.

So try to keep it in the normal range year round and then only for competing, cut it down as low as needed but only for limited times
