I would start by getting lab work done. Maybe there is hormonal reason that this is an issue. The next place to look is your diet. Food is what gives you energy to function. I wonder if you are getting the right foods at the right times. You might be shocked if you were to discover how much food can do. Its different than a stimulant. Are you using carbs? If so, plan 5 small meals through the day using a lean animal based protein source, plus sweet potato, rice or oatmeal for 3 of your meals that are right before and right after your workout. Eat around 1 hour before training and then follow up your workout with the next meal, then let the rest fall through the day. Next, I would look at hydration and electrolytes. Make sure you are getting at least 1 gallon of water and add a light amount of sea salt to your pre workout meal. These things should make a difference if your labs are normal. About performance enhancing drugs, steroids themselves are not stimulants but if your body is low on testosterone (which labs will show), using it will give you a boost. They will give you more endurance when you are working hard, to keep doing so, but they will mainly just make a working plan work better and work faster. in itself, a pre workout would produce more energy for a workout than a steroid would. As for gaining muscle, this is what steroids will do and they will do it well. It sounds like you can use a lot more education so please do yourself and your body a favor. Keep educating yourself beyond this conversation. There is so much more to know. A good foundational starting cycle would be test E or Cyp at 350 to 500mg EW split into 2 doses with .5 to 1mg adex EOD. You would use this for 10-12 wks. Then 2 wks after start PCT. This will produce a good amount of muscle IF you follow my suggestion about getting the diet into an optimal place. Hope you can figure this out buddy. No one at 23 should have to deal with this. Im sure that between diet and labs, you will find some answers.
