Yes sir, 23 is fine. Not an issue. For what its worth, back 15 years ago, 23g was the standard. Now days the gear is thinner thanks to new solvents and carrier oils so we have all shifter toward smaller gauges. But yea bro, you will be just fine with a 23. If anything there will be less pressure with the oil going in, causing less damage from high pressure oil shooting into the muscle from a tiny pin (if that makes sense). Think of a garden hose. With a wider opening, the water flows out. When you close that hole down with your thumb, the water shoots out harder with the built pressure. So in some ways, a 23 could be better
