Light weights high reps or medium weight 8-12reps while on gear?

    Light weights high reps or medium weight 8-12reps while on gear?

    Hello im 24 years old 220 lbs 6.3ft 10%body fat.Ive been training naturaly for 5 years and im about to jump on some gear.I keep reading that while on steroids you need to do as many as reps as possible.Is that true?Should i keep training the way i trained while i was natural?Thank you in advance.

    if what you're doing is working, i wouldn't change it on or off cycle. i think that " as many reps as possible" may mean that you need to push harder. IMO, you should always push hard. of course, there are points, that i deload, working with heavy weight for several wks and then lighten up a small amount to focus on a higher rep range, but overall, i am always pushing. remember that once you come off, you'll have to work even harder to maintain the highest amount of strength you can from the cycle. 


    as far as rep range, everyone is different and each muscle group is different, so it's hard to tell exactly what rep range works best for each person and each body part. generally, below 6 reps isnt going to yield much mass for most people. it will help build strength to help you handle heavier weight though. 8-12 reps is a good place to start out for a new lifter. from there, you can spend a year seeing what your results look like. after that, you can start experimenting with different rep ranges to see what works for body parts that didnt respond well to the 8-12 range. being that you've trained for 5 years, i would assume that you have already spent some time in this phase and learned what evokes the best results for your body parts.
