High protein/high fat/low to moderate carbs

Hi U.C., never got to say thank you for answering my previous question! I have currently been running a high fat high protein low carb diet for 6 weeks. Diet/training/supplementation are all clean and on point. Additionally, I have been supplementing clen for the last three weeks as well to kick things up a bit, while of course maintaining proper diet and training. 80mcg split into two doses daily. I've gone to 120mcg but I feel like if I get my diet completely nailed I can stay at 40 or 80mcg..your thoughts? It' really pisses me off when people assume u can take a pill and poof fat disappears; proper diet and consistent/intensive training are everything. I'll Ill ways train heavy, similar to mike ohearn's powerbuilding so I can get the best of both worlds. I have 18 years of natural training under my belt too, I'm 29. My questions are as follows:1.when running this type of diet, ideally how do I want to calculate my fat intake so that it is high enough for my body to run on and put in mass without putting it on as fat? .5g per lb of body weight? More/less?2.how would you calculate an appropriate carb intake in conjunction with the high fat and high protein? 3. Your thoughts on o'hearn and his power building approach? Do you know him? Seems like a real cool guy who knows his shit, gear or not. Is it really possible he's natural like he says? I just want to know if it's achievable naturally so I can strive it. Dude looks amazing and he's strong as fuck, love his dog too!)4. Have you run a diet such as this? Have you had success?5. I'm currently cutting while trying to preserve and/or build additionall mass; good to use in a cut phase or better during mass gain? Possibly both? 6. I would like to incorporate red meat but am unsure of how to do so appropriately without adding fat and sacrificing conditioning. How would you approach the implementation of red meat? 7 . Is it necessary to use liver support(I use milk thistle) with the Clen?8. Can clinic be used as a natural test booster? Would you recommend it? Are there any possible negative effects? *thank you again for your time, I thought these would be great questions that I along with everyone else could learn from, I'm not opposed to gear any means but we need more Nutrition and training questions, without those gear is inconsequential!

On the clen, sure, the better the diet, the less need for drugs, BUT the more effective more drugs will be. I'm never against running a decent dose of clen, but I want to get the most out of it when I do ;)

    1. Yes, right on, I'd start with .5g per lb but then I adjust as needed to reach my goals. With a natural guy I will tend to use more pro/fats and try to keep the fats as high as I can, as long as fat is coming off. Of course, there are time with certain individuals, that fats need to be reduced. For some people, that means going as far as some no fat days. Those are rough!!

    2. With carbs, I would start around 1g per lb, protein about 1.5-2, depending. Then watch progress and be ready to adjust carbs first, as needed. And thats assuming someone isn't super over fat to start.

    3. I haven't used O'hearn's training style, but hey, if it's working for you, more power to you! I could see it possible that he is natural. Either way, he has some great genetics. I know some guys that I am pretty sure are natural and have great physiques. You can build a great deal of muscle naturally. It just takes a lot longer. Outside of the real massive freaks, the main difference you see with enhanced vs naturals, is conditioning. Natural guys just can't get as hard and dry without chemicals. I'm sure there are a good number of guys that can get pretty hard, but they would only be that much harder on the sauce

    4. I tend to use high carbs, high protein and moderate fats. I'm not a good example to single out, as far as dieting goes, because I have been lucky enough to get away with eating a lot, and not always eating clean, yet getting ripped. Still, I suffer. No matter what, to get to low single digit body fat, you are going to suffer. I just suffer while eating and progressing more than some other fellas. You'd hate me if I told you I once ate Wendy's burgers almost every day one year and got to my second most conditioned state. I was much more conditioned than others in the show. Still, believe it or not, I was so weak, I had trouble picking up a case of soda by the end of that diet, so I was still suffering pretty good! That was the only year I worked junk food into my diet and I would not suggest that anyone gets the bright idea to try it.

5,  Not sure what you mean by this one

    6. red meat is great if it fits into your plan. You just need to use it to replace other fats and proteins. I would use it pre or post workout. As long as you have your macros figured out, you're not going to get fat. There comes a point though where it may need to be removed because macros need to be lower. Red meat is great for fullness

    7. no

    8. Not sure about this question either. Do you mean cialis? If so, it is not going to boost test. daspartic acid may help to boost your natural levels, but understand, natural "boosters" aren't going to make your test levels any better for muscle gain. At best, you will boost your numbers a few points if you are lucky but it will never be drug like in it's muscle building effect.

Hope this stuff helps you, buddy! Feel free to write back more questions any time, and in the future, it would help me out if you send them individually. That way other readers can choose which topics they want to check out. I often refer people to the QA and suggest they do a search for the topic they are interested in reading about. This way, they can more easily sort through.

For anyone interested in working one on one, on individually designed diet and gear plan, message me at the Next Level Nutrition page, here at Naps Gear. I'm helping guys build and carry out their best cycles to date, and walking them through their diet, with week by week updates, based off of progress pics and feedback. Not going to lie. It's a great job and I love seeing guys get to their goals, FASTER than they ever have. So anyone interested, hit me up today :)
