    calories on a cut

I was looking into one of the pre made cycles...the beginners cut cycle. I know how many calories I have to eat to gain weight and lose weight but have never used any gear. if I was on this cycle would I eat closer to maintenance and let the gear lean me out or would I still eat less then maintenance. I usually eat 500 under on a cut so I lose 1 pound a week. Its a little slow but I keep my strength this way. thanks for the help. steve

Gear will NOT lean you out directly, but gear will improve nutrient partitioning. So if you are currently natual, and eating at maintance, when you start gear, it will direct more of your food to be used as muscle, so in turn, you may end up losing some body fat in the process. Still, if conditioning is your goal, you will want to alter your food to get more extreme results. Remember that on gear, you can diet harder than you can nautrally, so don't be afraid to push. It's all about getting the right about of protein, say 1-1.5g per lb, and then adjusting carbs and fats for your body.

If you or anyone else is interested in working with me, I can walk you through a diet, designed for your body and show you how we will adjust nutrition each week, to get you into the best shape you can be, while retaining, if not gaining muscle. I've gotten guys down into the low single digits, 2-3%. It's a fasinating process really :) Message me over the the Next Level Nutrition page, here at Naps Gear!
